Hello together,

we try to load a TIFF with JEPG compression. This gives an error message. In our archiv-system it's possible to show this files. From there we get the information about it (sorry msg in german):

message from ImageEN:

We tried with LoadFromFileTIFF and LoadFromFileAuto with same result.

Has anyone an idea?

Thanks and much Greetings from Germany
Uwe

Hi Nigel,

yes I saw it. I tried to extract the part from TIFF-container. But it's always problem
of specification Part 3. The component loads JPEG2000 Part 1. Bad luck for me

Hi Uwe

Thanks for the update.

We probably won't add support for JPEG2000 support in TIFF unless a number of users request it.

Hi Nigel,

I'm still working on this problem.

First I was looking inside the file and see that it's a Tiff with JPEG2000. the message "SOF type 0x3c" says "SOF" (Start of Frame) "C3" (0xc3 means a hexadecimal value "c3").

I found that it's a JPEG2000 Standard, Part 1, -- i.e., ISO/IEC 15444-1 -- plus a great deal of Parts 2 and 3. <-- found in another great image program forum.

After that I search for a utilitie to show and I found an old program named iBrowser.
This works and show me the images.

I see that debian jpeginfo had have the same problem some time ago. If you are interested I can send you the link rith detailed information.

Much Greetings from wild south germany
Uwe

Hi Uwe

I tried to open this file in ten different applications and not one would load it. Either it is corrupted or extremely non-standard.
