There is a bug when merging layers. Merging always expands the bitmap when a layer is positioned off the background image even though the cropped property is set to True for all layers.

This should crop layers so the image does not expand when merging - unfortunately after a merge the bitmap grows to accommodate all layers even though cropped is true.
ImageEnView1.CurrentLayer.Cropped := True;

Please fix this as it is causing a lot of problems for developers. Fabrizio is aware of the problem but this has not been fixed yet. I see this as a critical fix.

Hi Bill

At this stage, LayersMerge does not support cropping.

You must use ImageEnView1.LayersMergeAll() to crop to the background.

Note: This method does not support the alpha channel
