Posted - Sep 09 2019 : 18:53:53 We're trying to solve a very troubling problem here. A user in the field reported very slow scanning, and we decided to get a similar printer model and we are also seeing very slow scanning.
I decided to build a bare-bones app in Delphi to see if I could limit factors. It is also a very slow scan.
What's interesting is during the scan process Delphi reports dozens of "Non-user Breakpoints". It seems to be trying to load FactorySettings, but I am at a loss trying to figure out what it wants.
See attached screenshot
This may not be the cause of the slow scan, but I figured it was a good place to start.

The breakpoints are not within ImageEn, but the Twain driver, so I don't really have any good suggestions for you. Maybe another user has an idea...

Found another interesting hint. While modifying the TwainParams.SelectedSource is very fast, modifying the TwainParams.PixelType is very slow. After the initial slowness of modifying the PixelType, other settings are back to being very fast (XYResolution, Brightness, Etc). |

Does another third party app using the same driver also experience the slowness?
