I have now used my File Manager program and tested with a variety of USB drives: HD, thumb drive, and SD cards. I've also tested with the demo program that I just uploaded in regard to how phone devices operate. That program is your Portable Device Browser Demo - modified with IEFolderTree.

If I click the Show Devices button, it always shows USB drives as devices. When selected as devices, it shows the file names without extensions. Presumably that is why no icon is displayed for each file.

When I select the USB drives as drives, the full file name is properly displayed. And icons properly display. This demo does not preview files on the USB devices, but my program does, so that is probably because of the limited code in the demo that is focused on devices.

I'm wondering why USB drives are listed as devices, when they clearly work correctly as drives? I'm hoping there is a way to turn off this device usage or fix it so that it correctly reports the file name.

Thanks. That will certainly avoid user confusion.
