Hi,

I am trying to make remote capture work on a Canon EOS (550D) camera via the WIA interface. All drivers installed, remote capture works with the 'EOS Utility'. However, with THe ImageEn TakePhoto and other demos in the ImageAquisition folder it does not work: I only get a dialog with the photo's on the camera memory (SD card) that I can copy. No Take picture button and no way to have the camera take a photo.

Interestingly, with a Canon PowerShot compact G10 camera, it works (I get an extra Take Picture button in the WIA interface.

ImageEn version = 4.10

Any ideas how to do a remote capture on Canon EOS SLR camera?

Do I need extra separate s/w such as TCamRemote for Canon EOS remote capture?

thanks, Wilfried

Hi Wilfried

Please check that the EOS supports the WIA command, WIA_CMD_TAKE_PICTURE. I could not find any information that it did.
