Hi

I just notice that the latest version of ImageEN can now support Microsoft Media Foundation for video grabbing from web cams.

I have toyed with the idea of getting a web cam (a sky cam for capturing clouds/sunsets/sunrises etc) for some time and wonder just how difficult it would be be to write an application to process the files using Delphi and this new functionality in ImageEN?

I imagine that it would require maybe some kind of API to get at the Windows files and this would get really complicated, but then again if this feature has been added someone out there is already doing it!

Bruce.

Hi Bruce

What Windows files are you referring to? The point of MMF is to save you from having to worry about Windows files...

That's good news then. I had never heard of the format and didn't realise that ImageEN did all the hard work for you. I think the next step is to get a web camera that uses this format and have a go. If I do I'll maybe write you a demo!

Hi Bruce

Yes, you might want to use our MMF demos as a staring poiint.
