Nigel Hello Good Morning

This IEExtToFileFormat Function, returns a wrong value for some extensions

for example. PNG and MPG, returns ioUnknown

you can check this please

Wesley,

I just tested IEExtToFileFormat and the correct file format is returned for png.
iFileType := IEExtToFileFormat(ExtractFileExt(AFilename));

Thanks William I was not using ExtractFileExt ().

but for files with extensão.MPG properly does not return.

you can test please.

Your mpg file returns 0 or ioUnknown with

There is no *.mpg value. I would have thought it would return 23 or ioMPEG for *.mpg but it returns ioUnknown.

Your WMV file returns 0 as well.

Hi

ImageEn does not treat MPEG and WMV files as "native" formats as they are supported via DirectShow, and thus are handled differently.

However for v5.1.2 IEExtToFileFormat will correctly return ioWMV and ioMPEG.
