In TImageEnMView downloaded video about the size of 1.5GB. In the preserved version ImageEn 4.1.4 file is downloaded completely and without error. When you load the example available on the site "LargeVideos" version 5 takes a huge memory consumption, there is a lack of memory, the file does not load completely or not does not load and for all that there is an error.

That is, the error in the source code, or change some features and downloading video files must be something to consider?

Thank you.

Hi

I cannot reproduce that. I just opened several multi-gigabyte video fiels and memory usage never exceeded 500MB, nor crashed.

What type of video file is it. Approx how long/how many frames does it have?

For tests uploaded Vido: http://rusfolder.com/42340116
This video memory consumption in the old version are composed of approximately 50 kb, in new versions of 300 kB. Increasing memory size up to 6 times! For a video with a frame size 720x320 size ~ 1.5 GB and 1.5 hours duration in the old version consumes about 500 MB, and the new version will need 3 GB of memory. This video is downloaded to ~ 50%, an error about insufficient memory, and for this there are common errors. Increased memory consumption is observed for all tested me video AVI. WIN7x32.

Hi

I downloaded the file and it opened without error or excessive memory usage. Are you sure you have not made any changes to the LargeVideos demo?

The appearance of the error will not be until the excess amount of memory. The excess amount of memory happens when a large file size. Test file simply consumes the amount of memory in 6 times more.
LargeVideos not been changed and downloaded as EXE from the site.
Perhaps in the source code to change something that is connected to the processor ...
AMD Phenom II X4 970 3,5 GHz

There is a possibility to test LargeVideos.exe only versions 4.1.4 and 5.2.0.

Cocoa is more data are needed to determine the cause of the error?

Tested the above laid out a video file on a real machine with WinXP with Intel dual-core processor 2.7 GHz. Memory consumption so as to be 300 MB. All the same, probably a mistake somewhere in the source code.

Hi

I'm afraid we have not had a chance to investigate this indepth.

There have been a lot of changes since v4.1.4, but you might want to try disabling some of them to see if you find a culprit.

In particular, use of icons, try:

ImageEnMView1.ThumbnailOptionsEx := [];

Installing ImageEnMView1.ThumbnailOptionsEx: = []; produces the same result, a very large memory consumption.
So you can not fix the error?

Hi

No, it's not that we cannot, only that we are busy with other work and have not had time to fully investigate.

Test file: http://rusfolder.com/42556340
This file consumes about 300 kB of memory instead of 50 in the old version.

I'll wait for error correction in the short version. :)
