Please let me know how I can capture video in a mpeg format. I am using CreateAVIFile to capture avi file.

Hi

MPEG is not a native format of ImageEn, though you can use DirectShow which will output in the formats available via your DirectShow filters.

See the first "DirectShow Video Capture" demo for more info.

Thanks for your reply but "DirectShow Video Capture 1" demo does not show how to capture a video. It just have a button to save a frame. Am I missing something?

Hi

You should be able to specify an Output file and the audio and video codecs.

sorry to say but it is not working for me. I have an mpeg encoder which works fine with other component. When selecting the right codec, the live video does not show up and obviously it does not capture anything..

Any help will be appreciated.
