Hi,

Have anybody a idear what can be a reason for such an error?

Thanks

Hi Nigel,
by the same Customer we have the problem also at a Win7 machine. I thought maybe on Win XP it can be a missing GDI+ Hotfix. But at the Win7 i didn't think that there is a Hotfix.
Thanks.

Hi Ralf

The exception means that GDI+ is not available. You can disable GDI+ in ImageEn settings:

https://www.imageen.com/help/TIEImageEnGlobalSettings.UseGDIPlus.html

But GDI+ should be available on all Windows machines, so ImageEn uses it extensively for performance. In some situations, it may be required, even if disabled in settings.

Hi Nigel,
at the moment i have disabled the GDI. What i'm looking for is a Update/Hotfix from Microsoft witch solve the problem. Have you got any link or information how we can Install/Update or Hotfix the GDI?
At the moment i now 2 Systems where the problem is with Win7 and WinXP. First i thought only the old Win XP have the problem. But by the same Customer also a Win 7 have the problem.

Can you change the errortext? It is very technical and also only available in english. Maybe a Text like "GDI+ is not installed on your System" is better for customers. I also had to search in the source to find the reason for the Exception.
Thanks
Ralf

Hi Ralf

I've improved the error message, though I'm not how the user managed to have a Windows 7 system without it.
