Hi,
have anybody an idear why scanning with WIA needs longer then scanning with Twain at the same Scanner?
The size of the scanned image is also bigger. Can it be, that the setting of the AcquireParams.XResoultion and YResolution is ignored by the Scanner?
Thanks
Ralf

Hi Ralf

For WIA those values map to WIA_IPS_XRES and WIA_IPS_YRES. Have you compared the DPI values of the image after the scan?

Hi Nigel,
the DPI is the selected after the scan. What i do after Scanning is writting the Image to Stream with.
TImageEnMView.GetImageToStream
I give in for example ioTiff. The Resulting stream is very big. Is there anyway to say, that the stream is compressed?
Best Regards.

Hi Nigel,
i found the problem. When we use any of the ccitt for compression the Stream have about 20 MB when we use no compression or lzw for example it is ok.
Best Regards
