Hello,

How can I resize my text layer to the exact size of the text, vertically.

For example: the text has 10 lines and a height of 600, and the text layer has a height of 900. I need to make the text layer the same size as the text.

Thank you

Hi

When you use SizeToText it will attempt to size to both width and height, but it cannot work perfectly with wrapped text.

Hi

Please email me for the latest beta. It makes it no wider than the view, and SizeToText() includes a LenghtenOnly parameter.

Thanks Nigel,

To help me understand better, will this update allow me to create a text layer with the WIDTH defined and when inserting text into this layer, it will only increase the HEIGHT, always to the size of the text/lines?

Thanks, I'll forward the email.

At this time, with the update:

- Text layers never become wider than the view
- SizeToText() includes a LenghtenOnly parameter

(WordWrap must be true).

But we could include a FixedWidth property or something similar that ensures it never widens.

Hi

We'll be issuing a beta next week with a MaxWidth property. But I'd caution against using a beta in a release product.

Thanks Nigel, Before putting it into production, we will still run tests to make sure that the routines are correct.

Do you have a date, more or less, of when you will make this update available? Just to organize myself here.

Thanks
