I'm using TImageEnVect and setting a text object with SetObjTextCurveShape.

Is there a way to GET the properties (shape, phase, forward) that were used with that call to update the UI controls when the object is selected at a later time?

After looking over the source version 4.0.2 I do not believe that there are any get methods to accomplish this.
