Hi,

I am scanning with ImageEnMView and the images I scan in all have 1/8 inch trimmed off each edge. Why is that? Did I set something wrong? I scan in 4 inch by 6 inch and I get 3.75 x 5.75.

ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.AcquireFrameEnabled := True;
ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.AcquireFrameTop := 0.0;
ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.AcquireFrameBottom := 6.0;
ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.AcquireFrameLeft := 0.0;
ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.AcquireFrameRight := 4.0;
ImageEnMView1.MIO.Acquire(ieaTWain);

Flatbed or ADF makes no difference, 1x3 or 8.5x11 each get 1/8th inch off each edge - not proportional - exactly 1/8 inch.

What's happening here? Is there a margin or border I have set somehow?

Thanks.

I saw a forum entry with something similar but opposite:

http://www.imageen.com/ieforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=109&SearchTerms=AcquireFrameEnabled

At the bottom, the author states that he sets the scanner options for the acquire size with (0, 0, 11.69, 8.26) and the resulting image is sized 850x1150 in other words about 1/4 inch MORE on height and width!

Any way to resolve this?

I just turned off AcquireEnabled and set

ImageEnMView1.MIO.TWainParams.StandardSize.CurrentValue := IETW_USLETTER;

and the result is... 8.27 x 10.77 - typically I'm seeing a difference of 0.23 or 0.24 on both dimensions. (If the 10.77 were 11.77, I might think it was trying to throw A4 at me.)

Do I really need to just add 0.235 to my desired height and width?!!??!!?!

While it seems to work, that scarcely seems like the correct answer.

Hi

I expect it is some weirdness of that scanner. Have you tested with a different scanner?
